Ash (Chapter 10)

The Guild might have tried to sabotage our audio logs, but we just bypassed their firewalls. I am beyond excited to announce that we have officially secured a new narrator for the Silicon Scrapper: Root Access audiobook!
Please welcome Bobby Garrison to the Undercode. Bobby is an absolutely amazing voice actor who has narrated multiple heavy-hitting sci-fi stories across Audible. The second I heard his work, I knew he was the perfect hardware upgrade to capture the grit, tech, and action of this series.
A massive thank you to Bobby for taking on the project and agreeing to bring Finn, Ash, and Bram to life. The audio production is officially back online and rendering as we speak.
I am so looking forward to hearing him tear through the system, and I know his performance is going to be incredibly worth the wait. I'll drop the new release ETA as soon as the final files start compiling!

Hey everyone, a major update on the Silicon Scrapper: Root Access audiobook. Unfortunately, the system just threw us a critical error, and this one is going to take longer to patch than expected.
The narrator we had selected for the project was suddenly banned from the platform for breaching ACX's terms and conditions. Because of this, the production has been halted, and we are being forced to start the casting process over from scratch.
The silver lining? We are already tracking down some incredibly promising leads for a new narrator who can capture the exact grit and energy of the Undercode.
I am really sorry that you all have to wait even longer to hear Finn, Ash, and Bram's story come to life. It is a frustrating setback, but I promise you, the final audio will be absolutely worth the wait! ⚡️

The system is online. Time to break it.
You’ve seen the terms. LitRPG. GameLit. Crunchy vs. Light. Maybe you’ve stumbled across a cover featuring a guy in power armor standing over a pile of glowing loot and wondered: Is this a book or a manual for a game I forgot to install?
It’s both. And it’s neither.
Welcome to the world of LitRPG: specifically, the high-stakes, oil-slicked reality of The Silicon Scrapper Open Source Saga. If you’re tired of standard fantasy and want something that hits like a short-circuit to the brain, you’re in the right place.
I’m Gary, the guy behind the keyboard. By day, I’m grinding out a shift at a factory. By night, I’m building worlds where code and reality blur. I write for the people who want their heroes to earn every single stat point through blood, sweat, and several catastrophic system errors.
Ready to jack in? Let’s talk about how to survive the Undercode.
At its core, LitRPG (Literary Role-Playing Game) is fiction where the mechanics of a video game are a literal part of the world.
In most books, a character gets stronger because the plot says so. In LitRPG, they get stronger because they killed a Level 12 Tracker Hound, absorbed its XP, and dumped three points into Agility.
"Fry, you overgrown toaster!" : Finn, Silicon Scrapper: Root Access
Most LitRPG takes place in a fantasy forest. We aren't most LitRPG.
The Undercode isn't a game you play for fun; it’s a digital layer forced over a decaying, industrial reality. It’s a world of "Root Access" and "Multiverse Patches." It’s a place where a "debuff" isn't just a minor inconvenience: it’s a death sentence if you’re being chased through a sewer by corporate hitmen.
When characters like Ash or Finn navigate this world, they aren't just fighting monsters; they are fighting the architecture of reality itself. They use high-stakes hacking to rewrite the rules on the fly.
The characters in the Silicon Scrapper series aren't "chosen ones." They are survivors.
"That was the worst shortcut I have ever taken, Lady." : Bram, after plummeting through a rusted tin roof.
These aren't polished heroes. They’re gritty, they’re cynical, and they’re just trying to keep their hardware from melting. This is the "blue-collar" side of the epic sci-fi genre. We aren't here for flowery prose. We’re here for the "clink" of metal and the "hiss" of a successful patch.
If you’re looking for a "GameLit" adventure that feels grounded, you’ve found it. We focus on the intersection of technology and physical action.
We call it the Open Source Saga because the system is messy. It’s broken. It’s open to anyone with the guts to reach into the guts of the world and change the code.
You don’t need to be a pro gamer to enjoy these books. You just need to like fast-paced, witty dialogue and stories where the underdog actually has a chance to win: provided they can find a decent power source.
